Locating your WhatsApp number within the app is simple:
Primary Method: Access Profile Information
- Launch the WhatsApp application on your device.
- Tap the Settings icon (gear symbol on iOS, three vertical dots on Android).
- Select your profile at the top, displayed as either your name/profile picture or My WhatsApp Number.
Your registered phone number will be displayed prominently at the top of your profile information screen.
Secondary Method: Verify Number During Registration
- Open WhatsApp and navigate to Settings.
- Go to Help > App info (path might slightly vary by device).
- Look for About phone or similar to see device info.
While less direct, this screen often shows the number linked to your device's SIM.
Important Notes
- Your WhatsApp number is the phone number used during initial registration.
- WhatsApp doesn't display your number on your profile picture or status within chats by default.
