Location of the Status Bar
The status bar appears at the bottom of the Excel window. It is positioned just above the taskbar or system tray and spans the full width of the application.
Methods to Show the Status Bar
By default, the status bar is visible. If it is hidden, apply these steps:
- Right-click any toolbar area within Excel.
- Select Customize Status Bar from the context menu to toggle visibility.
Helpful Customization Techniques
Customize the status bar to display relevant statistics:
- Right-click directly on the status bar to access options.
- Enable or disable elements:
- Average for selected cells.
- Count of non-empty cells.
- Numerical Count for numbers only.
- Sum, Minimum, or Maximum values.
- Changes apply instantly; no restart is needed.
