Finder > Go Menu > Downloads. This folder lives in your user directory (~/Users/[YourUsername]/Downloads). Verify its existence by navigating through Finder's Home folder.
Browser-Specific Settings
- Safari: Open Safari Preferences > General. Confirm "File download location" is set to "Downloads" or check the specified custom path.
- Chrome/Firefox: Visit browser settings to review download destination. Browsers sometimes override system defaults.
Locating Misplaced Files
- Search Finder by filename or extension using the search bar.
